The claw pump design is extremely efficient and has very low maintenance cost; because there is no actual contact between the rotors and the cylinder wall, parts that need replacing or required maintenance is minimized.

The patented innovative sound enclosure reduces the vacuum pump sound intensity by 4-5 times which allows all Powerex WhisperVAC™ systems to safely fall in within the NIOSH 8-hour exposure limit.  The reduced sound levels also allows for greater flexibility in system placement since there is less nuisance risk for patients and hospital staff.
